Arabba is a small charming alpine village situated on the south-east corner of the 'Gruppo di Sella' mountain range, between the resorts of Corvara (Alta Badia) and Canazei (Val di Fassa).
The resort of Arabba lies at 1610 metres and is located directy on the Sella Ronda, a 42 km circuit taking you through 4 different ski resorts. It is the perfect base for skiing different resorts and starting some of the famous ski circuits/tours in the Dolomites.
Arabba/Marmolada has some of Italy’s most challenging terrain and its north facing slopes have some of the best natural snow conditions in the Dolomites. This ski area challenges serious skiers and snowboarders as well as offering perfect conditions and slopes for intermediates.
Some of the best off piste ski routes in the Dolomites are easily reached from these resorts include the ‘Val Mezdi’, the ‘Marmolada Glacier’ and the ‘Sella Couloirs’, all of which offer the ultimate in freeriding for the more extreme skier or snowboarder.
The Marmolada Glacier is the highest skiable peak in the Dolomites (3342m). The Marmolada ski area provides a 14 km pisted ski run from its peak until the base of the cable car 'Malga Ciapella'.
Malga Ciapella contains a 7.5km cross country ski track. This track winds through the forests along the base of the breathtaking Marmolada Glacier.
The combination of steep and exciting terrain, well groomed pistes, extensive snowmaking facilities and fewer crowds makes Arraba/Marmolada one of the best areas
for high intermediates and expert skiers in the Dolomites.
