Unspoilt landscape, impressive mountain peaks and small, charming villages surround the ski area known as ‘Ski Civetta’   

Dominated by the Pelmo and Civetta mountains this area is accessed by the towns of Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, Zoldo and Palafavera.  Ski Civetta links three valleys and forms the south-eastern resorts of the Dolomiti Superski network.  The area offers 27 lifts and approx 120 kms of ski pistes for alpine and cross country skiers.   

  Many of the other resorts under the Dolomiti Superski area can be easily reached using the ski bus service.  
 
The most popular ski away days are to the resorts of Marmolada/Arabba, Cortina, Alta Badia and Tre Valli.  A number of the famous ski tours are also accessible from this area, refer to ski tours in the Dolomites.
 

 

 

 

 

The Ski Civetta ski schools are amongst the most professional and experienced in the Dolomites.  There are five ski schools and approximately 150 alpine, snowboard, telemark and cross country ski instructors. The ski schools offer a variety of different courses for both adults and children. Cross country skiers can choose from 30 kms of tracks to suit all levels, located in the resorts of Selva di Cadore, Palafavera and Zoldo.

 

One of the first  snowparks in the Dolomites for both freestyle boarders and skiers is located in the  ski civetta close to the resort of Alleghe.


 

Zoldo

Skiers and Snowboarders can enjoy night skiing on the 5 km slopes in the resort of Zoldo Alto.  These illuminated slopes are the biggest in Europe and can guarantee perfect visibility on perfectly pisted slopes.   For winter 2009/2010 a brand-new novelty snowpark will be launched. This park will form part of the illuminated slopes and remain open during the night.

Zoldo Alto is located in the Zoldana Valley at an altitude of 1200m.  The resort  offers a number of hotels, guest houses, bars and restaurants, all of which provide warm, Italian hospitality and atmosphere.  

 

The resort is renowned for the excellent local cuisine, offering traditional recipes and hearty home-made specialities.   The local economy is still supported by the production of specialist homemade ice cream, which is sold in numerous shops throughout Europe.  In fact Val di Zoldo is also known as the Ice Cream valley

Alleghe

At a height of 1000m this resort offers one of the most dramatic settings in the Dolomites, the resort is surrounded by a beautiful lake and stands at the base of the  impressive Civetta mountain (3100m) with direct access to Ski Civetta.

Alleghe is also famous for its ice hockey team.   The recently renovated large ice stadium is located in the centre of the resort. Today Alleghe hosts a number of games from the Italian Championship A series.

 

 The area is renowned for its mountain restaurtants and Italian cuisine and hospitality.
